AIRPORT - YBA. Cheerfully decorated in "modern day rustic," with lots of wood and mountain-themed contemporary artwork, Summit Café attracts crowds of active people. The place is especially popular at breakfast, when folks gobble up fantastic baked goods and breakfast bagels topped with eggs, Valbella ham, melted cheddar, fresh tomato and chipotle mayo. The chalkboard menu features a large assortment of sandwiches, soups, tacos and burritos, with several vegetarian options. Later in the day, stop in for a snack ­ the baked goodies and coffee are great. And if the weather is fine, sit outside at one of the brightly painted picnic tables. Affordable and satisfying.

Owners Dominic and Suzanne Fielden and chef/partner Ralf Wollman share a commitment to community, the earth, and healthy and flavorful food that is truly commendable. Their careful attention to detail is more than evident in the finished product, a perfectly crafted flatbread pizza second to none. Each pizza starts with 100% organic ingredients; handmade flatbreads are topped with an amazing array of vegetables, meats and cheeses, then baked in a specially constructed wood-fired clay oven. The interior is simple, with terra cotta-colored walls and bar-height tables and chairs. The menu is more elaborate, with brownies, cookies, cakes, and freshly-scooped ice cream.
