Step Out to Local Beaches and Barrio Histórico
Vacationing in Colonia del Sacramento? This tiny museum’s exhibits portray life during the Portuguese rule. Its displays include furniture, military uniforms and architecture.
- Old City's Gate (8 blocks)
The old town starts here. Built in 1745, the year the city was walled, this drawbridge served as the city's main entry point.
- Rio de la Plata(0.1 km)
A natural attraction with incredible views, Rio de la Plata is located next to our hotel.
- Plaza de Toros (6 km)
This old Spanish bullring has been closed for a century, but Plaza de Toros’ Moorish architecture is worth the visit and so are the beaches along the way.
- Granja Colonia(10 km)
This quirky museum holds the Guinness Book of World Records’ title for the most pencils. They also display perfume bottles, key chains and ashtrays, but may be best known for their jellies.
