The University of Minnesota's Institute for Engineering in Medicine's Medical Devices Center, the Institute of Technology, the Academic Health Center, and the Office of the President present the 9th annual Design of Medical Devices Conference. The conference will be held April 13-15, 2010 at the Radisson University Hotel in Minneapolis, MN, adjacent to the University of Minnesota Campus. The three-day conference includes two days of technical/scientific sessions, and the third day will be a special symposium.
Meeting Agenda:
Promote the medical device industry
Provide a forum to bring medical device designers, manufacturers, researchers, and representatives from the public sector together to share perspectives on medical devices
Raise funds from corporate sponsorships to endow graduate fellowships in medical device design
From the airport: Follow signs to St. Paul. Go to the Minneapolis/Mendota Bridge Exit after leaving airport. Follow signs to Minneapolis (Hwy 62 West). Stay on Hwy 62 to 35W North Exit #17C (Highway 122). Follow signs to UM East Bank. Go to Harvard St (third light) and turn left (Hotel Guest Entrance).
Going South on 35W Exit #18, University Ave./4th St.: Go to University Ave and turn left (one way street). Go to Oak St and turn right. Go to Washington Ave SE and turn right. Go one block; hotel is on right (Hotel Guest Entrance).
Going North on 35W Exit #17C, Highway 122: Follow UM East Bank sign (far right lane). Cross over the Washington Ave bridge. Go to Harvard St (third light) and turn left (Hotel Guest Entrance).
Going East or West on I-94 Exit #235B, Huron Boulevard: Follow Huron to Washington Ave SE (third stop light). Turn left on Washington Ave SE. Go three blocks and turn right (Hotel Guest Entrance).
From Downtown Minneapolis: Take 4th St Eastbound (it is a one-way street); 4th Street becomes Washington Ave SE as you cross bridge. Go to Harvard St (third light) and turn left (Hotel Guest Entrance).
