The event includes live choral and orchestral performances, student expositions and showcases, and band and musical theater performances throughout the spring and early summer. Participants compete for awards and prizes, and events are scheduled for venues around town, including Thickwood Arena and Keyano College.

It includes a day of free ice skating, a visit to (and photos with) the gift-giving Clauses, and mugs of warm cider and free treats for the littlest elves. In addition to festive events, the celebration spruces up the park's historic buildings, decorating them for the holiday season.
