AIRPORT - FAT. After passing through large blue doors ornamented with metal zig-zags and glass, visitors to VVV are immersed in a decor of metallic patinas ­ coppers, blues, and greens. Overhead, sculptural wire pendants provide illumination, and brick walls contribute texture of another sort. The fashionable place boasts an electic cooking style, boosted by Asian and tropical accents. Fresh seafood is popular and ranges from Chilean sea bass to shrimp. You'll also find pork, chicken, and the like, dressed with fruit glazes, accompanied by lush sauces, spiked with pungent herbs. If you require a complement, the menu includes plenty of hearty favorites, including steaks, pastas, seafood, pizza and burgers. Irene herself is from Fresno and treats hometown crowds (and visitors!) right. At lunch, soups and salads are available, although sandwiches make a strong showing. The Bahama Club features turkey breast, bacon, and avocado, and the Albacore Delight is a tuna-lover's dream, complete with juicy tomatoes and crisp lettuce. Burgers are also available, along with vegetarian options. The root beer float is a necessary treat, no matter your inclination.
