Sprawling over nearly 1,200 square miles, Yosemite is one of the first wilderness parks in the United States. With over 750 miles of hiking trails available to you at the park, you'll have ample opportunity to marvel at cascading waterfalls, ancient sequoia trees and other stunning vistas.
You can also spend some time with a park ranger to learn about Yosemite, or get a broad overview by taking a bus tour around the valley floor. There are also over 12 miles of paved bike paths available in Yosemite Valley (in addition to regular roads). Please note that off-trail riding, mountain biking and use of motorized bicycles or scooters on bike paths is not permitted in Yosemite National Park, and helmets are required by law for children under 18 years of age.
Visiting Yosemite National Park is an amazing experience with numerous options for sights and activities. To make the most of your visit, be sure to check the current weather and hiking and wilderness conditions to ensure you are prepared for your visit.
