Yosemite National Park is truly one of the great national treasures and not to be missed when travelling to Central California.
Located just an hour away from Fresno, many guests prefer to stay in the comfort of a full-service hotel after spending a day of hiking at Yosemite. Yosemite National Park, one of the first wilderness parks in the United States, is best known for its waterfalls, but within its nearly 1,200 square miles, you'll enjoy hiking, biking or just wandering through the deep valleys, grand meadows, ancient giant sequoias and vast wilderness area.
There is so much to do in Yosemite. Hiking is one of the best ways to experience Yosemite. With over 750 miles of trails, there's a trail to meet most any skill level (Nevada Falls, Yosemite Falls, Vernal Falls, the Mist Trail and so many more).
Spend some time with a park ranger learning about Yosemite or get a broad overview by taking a bus tour around the valley floor. There are also over 12 miles of paved bike paths available in Yosemite Valley. In addition, bicyclists can ride on regular roads (if they obey traffic laws). However, off-trail riding, mountain biking and use of motorized bicycles or scooters on bike paths are not permitted in Yosemite National Park and helmets are required by law for children under 18 years of age.
Visiting Yosemite National Park is truly an amazing experience. To make the most of your visit, be sure to check the current weather and hiking and wilderness conditions to ensure you are prepared for your visit.
So, go -- hike, bike and enjoy the great out-of-doors...then come back to the Radisson Fresno for a nice hot shower, a great meal and a comfortable bed.
