Hidden Prologues with Sam Leith

Welcome to Hidden Prologues, the new monthly literary salon at Radisson Blu Edwardian's Bloomsbury Street Hotel.

Hosted by the writer and journalist Sam Leith, the salon gives leading authors the chance to explore the 'Hidden Prologues' to their latest books.

The inaugural event in December 2013 saw Joanna Trollope talk about the inspiration behind her new novel, a reworking of Sense and Sensibility. In February 2014 we were joined by A. L. Kennedy who spoke about her new collection of short stories, All the Rage and in March Jenny Colgan shared her Hidden Prologues behind Little Beach Street Bakery.

Last month in May 2014, Andy Miller's new book The Year of Reading Dangerously was up for discussion. An inspired and witty tour of literature from all genres, it was the perfect celebration of Social Book Week, whose message is "because everything changes when we read".

On Tuesday 10th June, novelist Nick Harkaway talked about his inspirations behind Tigerman and on Thursday 17th July, Daily Telegraph columnist Bryony Gordon, shared her tell-all memoir, The Wrong Knickers, revealing what life is really like in your (not-so) glorious twenties.
