A walk through the Twickenham Historic District allows visitors to immerse themselves in the area's quintessential Southern charm: The Harrison Brothers Hardware Store (1879), Depot Museum (1860), and Weeden House (1819) preserve a heritage that dates back nearly 200 years. From Patriot Missiles to biscuits and gravy, Huntsville keeps its eyes firmly planted on the horizon but never fails to remember where it's been after all, this is the "Birthplace of Alabama."

Huntsville is the first stop on the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail. More than 100 miles of immaculate fairway 378 holes in all are located at eight sites, stretching across the entire state of Alabama. Golfers from near and far vacation here to "play the trail."
