The Radisson Riverfront Hotel Windsor is located in the heart of downtown, steps away from shopping and entertainment, right in the middle of all the excitement, like the Caesars Windsor, two international border crossings, minutes from NHL Hockey and Major League Baseball and beautiful parks, theatres, restaurants and night clubs.

Downtown Detroit

Downtown Detroit can be reached either by bridge or tunnel. The Detroit-Windsor Tunnel Bus is located directly behind our hotel. There is a dedicated bus that goes from Windsor to Detroit every day and also has a bus that goes to all the major sporting events in Detroit. You can find the times and fares by going to Tunnel Bus to Downtown Detroit.

Downtown represents a blend of old and new, independent shops, and national chains, residential and business.

For stuff to do, Downtown can't be beat. If you're a sports fan, take in a game at Comerica Park, Ford Field or Joe Louise Arena- all are just minutes or a quick People Mover ride away. Or you can try one of the sports-themed dining options. Try Hockeytown Café or Cheli's Chili Bar.

Downtown also offers a more refined experience; the theater. Detroit has the second largest theater district in terms of seats and hosts major theatrical and musical performances. You're minutes from the esteemed Michigan Opera Theater, Music Hall, The Fox Theater and much more.

About Windsor

The southernmost city of Canada, Windsor is located south of Detroit, Michigan, and is considered a sister city to its American neighbor. The area economy is built largely around the automotive industry, as Windsor is known as Canada's automotive capital. Ford, Chrysler, and General Motors all have production facilities here. Along with a prosperous present, this city also boasts an interesting history. Ideally situated on the waterfront between two great nations, Windsor was a strategic point during the War of 1812. Visit Fort Malden or the John Freeman Walls Historic Site to learn more about Windsor's past, which included dangerous rum running and the Underground Railroad. Historic homes and interesting architecture pepper the city, and many are fully restored and afford guests the opportunity to step back in time. Visit the Francois Baby House or the McGregor-Cowan house. The arts minded can catch a theater performance at Mackenzie Hall or stroll the outdoor murals located in the "Ford City" area. For shopping and dining, Windsor offers several options. The City Centre area downtown includes a variety of cafes and shops while the "Little Italy" area on Erie Street is lined with boutiques, bakeries and delis. The city comes alive after dark, as it's known for its vibrant nightlife and casino scene. In fact, one of its whispered nicknames is "Tijuana North." On the "tamer" side, bird lovers flock to Windsor during the spring and fall to watch the many varieties of migrating birds that pass through the skies above. Exceptional lookout points include the nearby Point Pelee National Park and the Jack Miner Bird Sanctuary.
