    Gandhidham was founded in order to provide rehabilitation services to Sindhi Hindus who had been removed from their homelands after Pakistan's separation from India in 1947. The foundation stone of the town was laid with the blessings of Mahatma Gandhi.
  • Rann of Kutch
    The Great Rann of Kutch, the Little Rann of Kutch and the Banni grasslands form a massive, 30,000-square-kilometre (10,000-square-mile) salt marsh that fluctuates seasonally.
  • Rann Utsav (Kutch Carnival)
    This December carnival in the desert is devoted to dancing beneath the full moon. You will also find live artisans at work, a camel safari, musical performances and handicrafts for sale.
