Explore Kutch While Staying at This Hotel in Gandhidham

Offering a central hotel location in Gandhidham, one of the area's top industrial hubs, the Radisson Kandla makes it easy for you to enjoy the very best of the Kutch district. This hotel is situated less than 10 kilometres from Kandla Port and is convenient to a variety of cultural highlights, such as Khavada, Bhardeshwar Temple and Purneshwar Temple. Only a short drive away, the ancient walled city of Bhuj makes for a fascinating day trip, and the revered Gandhi Samadhi structure is just minutes from the hotel. When you stay at the Radisson, India's natural splendor are within easy reach—the nearby Rann of Kutch and the Banni Grasslands are home to an abundance of native wildlife and untouched scenery. Additionally, the hotel is close to Bhuj Airport and offers transfer service.

Nearby attractions include:
  • Banni Grasslands
The Banni Grasslands cover 3,847 square kilometres and are known for an amazing diversity of wildlife. The grasslands have been identified as one of the last remaining habitats of the cheetah in India and a possible reintroduction site for the species.
  • Bhuj
A labyrinth of bazaars and narrow streets that retain their medieval character, Bhuj is home to countless cloth stalls and handicrafts. Brightly decorated Hindu temples, beautiful palaces and intricately carved wooden pavilions dot the city's landscape, and Gujarat's oldest museum is also located here.
  • Gandhi Samadhi
The Second Samadhi of Mahatma Gandhi lies in Gandhidham. Immersed in the Kandla creek by Achrya Kripalani and Bhai Pratap Dayal on February 12, 1948, the sacred ashes of Mahatma Gandhi are commemorated here. This Samadhi structure was built in 1954.
  • Gandhidham
Gandhidham was founded in order to provide rehabilitation services to Sindhi Hindus who had been removed from their homelands after Pakistan's separation from India in 1947. The foundation stone of the town was laid with the blessings of Mahatma Gandhi.
  • Rann of Kutch
The Great Rann of Kutch, the Little Rann of Kutch and the Banni grasslands form a massive, 30,000-square-kilometre (10,000-square-mile) salt marsh that fluctuates seasonally.
  • Rann Utsav (Kutch Carnival)
Held every December, the Kutch Carnival offers visitors the chance to attend a folk dance and desert festival, watch live artisans at work, participate in a camel safari, listen to rare musical moments, live in tents and purchase handicrafts.
