The staff was very courteous and accomodating. Check in was very prompt. Room was very clean. The cleaning staff was very accomodating when it came to the hour requested for room cleaning. Facilities were all within a quick walk. In addition to that, the toilet was leaking water onto the bathroom floor for 2 days. I initially told the front desk about the problem and they sent an employee who attempted to repair the leak by applying a silicone type of material to be base of the toilet. However water continued to leak from perhaps the water tank located above the toilet. On the second night of my stay, due to the continued water leakage, I asked the front desk if it was possible to change rooms. The employee was very kind, professional, and promptly offered to move me to a larger room. The room itself was much better than the first one, featuring city views towards Tacubaya. A few other things however made this stay less than perfect: The room service food was below acceptable standards: The whipping cream on the brownie tasted very artificial and remained hard after almost 48 hours at room temperature. The brownie itself tasted industrialized (not freshly made). The orange juice was the only room service item that I was able to finish. The room service tray also sat in the room service door (which is located inside closet of the room) for over 24-hours without being picked up. Lastly, I ate several breakfasts at the hotel’s restaurant and I was disappointed that there was no soy milk or other food choices for persons with vegan dietary needs. The staff however was very attentive and kind. But for the price I paid, I would have rather stayed at the Sheraton Four Points in the Col Roma neighborhood for example. The water pressure of the showers and sinks are very strong at the Sheraton.
