Getting to the terminal
Although it's number 1 in name, Terminal 1 was actually the second terminal to open in Heathrow in 1968 (Terminal 3, previously called Oceanic opened in 1961). It's certainly not showing it's age though and at this modern, airy terminal you can find world-class shopping and dining to suit every taste.

Parking at Terminal 1
Parking costs at Heathrow airport vary in price and it can take up to 15 minutes to travel from the car park to the terminal. We recommend you take the hassle out of parking and combine your parking at Heathrow with a relaxing stay before your holiday – this is particularly relevant for families and if you live far away from the airport.

The Stay, Park and Fly package allows you to stay overnight at the hotel, leave your car with us for up to 15 nights - all from just £78.50. Find out more about our Heathrow hotel package.

At the terminal: shopping and restaurants

Shops at Terminal 1
Get your last dose of British design at Terminal 1 with a trip to Barbour with their famous wax jackets, visit Burberry to pick up a mac or pick up some last minute souvenirs at Glorious Britain. Whatever you're looking for terminal 1's Duty Free has a fantastic collection of shops.

Restaurants at Terminal 1
Being at the heart of one of the world's busiest airports means that the restaurants are plentiful and you'll be spoilt for choice. Start your holiday with some exquisite canapés and Champagne at The Cavier House and Prunier Seafood Bar or pop in to The Tin Goose to try one of their famous Bloody Mary cocktails. Alternatively there is a great selection of cafes such as Prêt a Manger and AMT Coffee to help you refuel before your flight.
