NORTH ORLANDO. Leu Gardens offer a peaceful, relaxing spot in which to enjoy the beauty of nature. Guests can tread shaded paths and view large oak and camphor trees, as well as roses, camellias, and azaleas. The property also includes the Leu House Museum, a restored farmhouse. Be sure to visit the floral clock before saying goodbye to these lovely gardens. The first Monday of each month is free admission all day.

LAKE WALES. Located on Iron Mountain near Lake Wales, these beautiful gardens were first established in the late 1920s by publisher and author Edward Bok. The gardens span 130 acres and feature an abundance of plant life and trees, including azaleas, magnolias, camellias, ferns, pine and oaks. The gardens boast the highest point (298 feet) on the Florida peninsula, and an impressive tower crafted from marble and coquina hosts a 57-bell carillon that chimes on the half hour. Carillon recitals can be enjoyed daily at 1pm and 3pm. Pinewood House, the former home of the Charles Buck, Bethlehem Steel executive, also stands on the garden's property. The Mediterranean Revival style villa features landscaped grounds, interesting architecture and antique French, Spanish and Italian furnishings.
