This piece of Racine history has been an active firehouse since 1882, and its unique, on-site museum highlights the importance of neighborhood firehouses. The interior has been restored to simulate a 1900s firehouse, and contains both motorized and horse-drawn fire fighting equipment, as well as memorabilia, photos and artifacts. See how fire fighting was done in the days before fire trucks and pressurized water hoses, all while paying tribute to courageous firemen past and present.

This amazing structure is the largest commercial project designed by famous American architect Frank Lloyd Wright. Completed in 1939, the SC Johnson Wax Headquarters is incredibly unique, with an exterior made from over 200 types of curved red brick, and an interior filled with 31-foot long, golf-tee shaped columns. Today, visitors can take a free, 40-minute tour and learn about its construction, how it was used by SC Johnson Company and why it's now listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Rondelle Theater hosts a variety of fascinating movies and short films that you won't find at your average movie theater. From 1964's Academy Award Winning documentary "To Be Alive!" to biographical films and comedies, there's always something interesting playing here. Be aware, however, that each film is shown once every Friday, usually at noon or 1:15. Tickets are free, so try to get there early to ensure good seats. SC Johnson Company tours also leave from this theater.

Wind Point Lighthouse, built in 1880, is one of the oldest and tallest active lighthouses on the Great Lakes and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It stands 108 feet tall, and its beam reaches 19 miles into Lake Michigan as it navigates ships into Racine Harbor. The lighthouse was recently restored, and now you can see all its original glory. The area is perfect for an afternoon picnic, taking some great photos or a round of golf at the nine-hole course nearby.
