In addition to the great artwork on display, several activities are planned for the six-day festival. Listen to entertainment from live bands and enjoy browsing around the classic and antique cars on display at the car show. The festival also includes activities for children. There's something for everyone at the MWPAI Sidewalk Art Festival.

Novices, marathon veterans and kids alike will enjoy coming together for the Falling Leaves Road Race. The race begins in downtown Utica and takes participants on a lovely run through the city. Participants can choose from a 5k run through the flat streets of Utica, a 14k run through the windy, hilly switchbacks of the South Woods, or the kids' race. All participants will receive a free T-shirt, snacks and awards after the race.

A recreation expo displays the latest winter-worthy products, and children's activities, musical performances, and food and drink are available too.

The race -- begun by Earle C. Reed in 1976 as a civic gift -- is now sponsored by major financial, retail, and communications companies and is a favorite of local and international runners. It is also affiliated with the Hall of Fame, which honors athletes who make exceptional advances and contributions to the sport of distance running.
