We-Ko-Pa Golf Club
Radisson Fort McDowell Resort
We-Ko-Pa Golf Club is a daily fee golf facility that consists of the original 18 holes, the Cholla course designed by Scott Miller, and a second 18 holes, the Saguaro course designed by Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw, which opened Saturday, December 16th, 2006. In addition to the two 18-hole courses, there is a large practice facility and a full service clubhouse.
Located just east of Scottsdale and Fountain Hills, the course is located on land that will never be used for residential or commercial development, yielding dramatic views of the Sonoran desert and the surrounding mountains.
Our Original Course - Cholla Open since December 2001, the Cholla Course at We-Ko-Pa has garnered countless honors and has quickly become recognized as the reference course for quintessential desert golf. Designed by Scott Miller, this 7,225 yard layout was named by Sports Illustrated as one of the 10 best new public courses in the world shortly after its debut. Since then, Zagat Survey 2006-2007 gives Cholla its highest rating among all Arizona courses and Golfweek ranks the layout #2 on its 2006 list of the state's best public courses.
Located adjacent to Scottsdale and Fountain Hills on land owned by the Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation, We-Ko-Pa (Yavapai for " Four Peaks") is routed through unspoiled Sonoran desert. In fact, there is not even an out-of-bounds stake to be found on this pristine course where endless mountain vistas provide the backdrop.
Our Newest Golf Course - Saguaro Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw survey the land for their latest design, the Saguaro Course at We-Ko-Pa Golf Club. Saguaro, which opened December 16, 2006, is a desert golf experience unlike any other. Integrating design elements not commonly found in the desert, the course is built for walking and has more in common with older, more traditional courses where greens are close to tees and the course follows the natural movement of the land. To assist those choosing not to walk, battery powered Speedcarts are available to transport your clubs. Saguaro has already been featured in numerous golf publications including Golfweek, which currently ranks it as the #1 public access course in Arizona. In addition, GOLF magazine named it one of the "Top 10 Best New Courses You Can Play" in the United States 2007.
The Radisson Fort McDowell Resort is pleased to offer a Stay and Play Package that includes a deluxe room, free breakfast and green fees for two on your choice of these two amazing courses. Click here for more information about The Best We-Ko-Pa Package Available!
