    This hotel looks a little shabby on the outside, but once you walk inside it's beautiful. The front desk staff are super helpful and friendly, there's a bar right there in the lobby which is great. The room was clean, large and very comfortable. I will definitely return.

    I realize that Baton Rouge is under a great deal of suffering due to recent flooding that left many homeless, so complaining about this hotel seems rather shallow. However, others may be thinking about staying there, so I wanted to give an honest review. Positive points--the hotel is clean, the staff is nice, the shower is extraordinary and the beds are very comfortable. Trying to get to it is tricky. You have to go pat it, turn into a gas station, and go past a La Quinta and a restaurant before you get to it. No direct access from road. Negative points-major problems with the breakfast. They weren't ready on time, you had to ask for a coffee cup and a to go box (many of the guests were working on flood repairs and cleanup and did not have time to sit down for breakfast). Why wasn't the coffee out and the cups out? Why weren't the boxes left out? Some days tables were left unbussed, some days fruit, some days not, some days had to wait because they were out of food. Do not eat in the restaurant, food is barely edible. Housekeeping is haphazard, elevator is very slow and breaks down. Air conditioner is really loud in room. The decor is not something I have every seen-like the 80s and they haven't updated it since. I've certainly stayed in worse hotels, but given a choice, I would not go back to this one.
