When to Visit Baltimore

Spring and summer are Baltimore’s festival seasons. HonFest in Hampden is one of the city’s most well-known festivals, where festivalgoers don beehive hairdos and leopard-print pants to assume the look of true Baltimorean “hons”—that’s Baltimorese for “honeys.” In May, Baltimore Radisson Hotel guests can join in the horse racing festivities during the Preakness Celebration, and browse spectacular artwork at Artscape in July.

In the fall and winter months, the Baltimore Ravens steal the show, and football fans pour into M&T Bank Stadium to cheer on their home team.

Baltimore Travel Tip

Located between Oriole Park and the B&O Warehouse, Eutaw Street is a pedestrian-only road that offers a view of the Camden Yards field as well as unique dining and shopping spots. Make sure you have your ticket with you on game day so you can access the sections of the street that overlook the field.
