The hotel across the street didn't try anything to help. It was basically sorry see you at 3PM. I called The Radisson, which I had stayed at before, and they upgraded me to a room that was available at the lower price. They wanted my business and did what it took to get it. The agent for Cheap tickets was hostile and refused to offer a refund or even a free night's future stay. I went back and forth with the agent trying to understand how I would be charged for a service that I didn't receive. After speaking directly with the hotel, we were pleased that the hotel offered a free night's stay for a future visit. I am so sorry that the third party intermediary made it difficult for you to get a refund for a night that you did want to stay. I am glad, however, that our staff at the hotel was able to accommodate your request. Just a note, sometimes the best deals can be obtained by calling the hotel direct.
