Things to Do in Kathmandu
From food and fun to everyday necessities, everything you need in Kathmandu is within walking distance of our hotel. Visit these sought-out tourist sites located within easy walking or driving distance:
Boudhanath Stupa – This sacred destination about 700 metres from the hotel has become one of Nepal’s most recognised sights. From the five Buddhas personifying earth, water, fire, air and ether, to the pyramid’s 13 steps representing the path to enlightenment, each architectural feature illustrates a Buddhist tenet.
Pashupatinath Temple – Situated on the banks of the Bagmati River about three kilometres from the hotel, this Hindu temple is dedicated to the god Shiva. Four silver-plated doors and a two-storey copper roof overlaid with gold create a dramatic shell for the exotic sculptures and decorations inside.
Thamel – One of Kathmandu’s most popular streets, Thamel is teeming with local boutiques, restaurants, bars and live music. You can easily walk or drive to this colourful, go-to tourist destination thanks to our hotel’s convenient location about one and a half kilometres away.
