History of the University of Southern California
At the university’s founding, Los Angeles was a frontier town with no paved streets, no electric lights and no telephones. Four years later, the University of Southern California graduated its first class. Three students received diplomas.
Today, this non-profit, private research university serves as a global center of education for promising young trailblazers in all sectors and societies around the world. Many leaders call USC their alma mater, including astronaut Neil Armstrong and filmmaker Steven Spielberg.
