This hotel has lots of history behind it and has great ambiance. It was clean (lobby, restaurants, hallways, room, bathroom), beds were comfortable and our room was laid out well. Would have given 5 stars except the only con I have is that the A/C in our room was quite loud when it kicked on and off.

Like railroads? Like classy hotels? This hotel in a beautiful converted railroad station is well worth a visit. We will certainly go back when we can. Friendly staff and an outstanding restaurant are also a big plus. Don't miss it.

Grand interior architecture. Actually breathtaking knowing you were in a nearly century old building. Restoration superb. Trax bar very good. Breakfast at coffee shop inept. Toaster broken. Next day, only one waitress at lobby restaurant. Could not get her attention for service. Walked out after 25 minutes. Place needs more staff and better training. But if you appreciate classic architecture and are into Railroad history and lore, this is the place for you.

For those that love history and/or the railroads, this is a definite must!!! The accommodations were decent, not extravagant, but simple and clean. The service was great, very informative at the reception counter on things to do, places to see to make the most of our stay. Overall a wonderful experience!!
