An indoor pedway connects the MTS Centre to our hotel
At the Radisson in downtown Winnipeg, you’re just a two-minute walk from big concerts and hockey games at the MTS Centre. Whether you’re going to see the Winnipeg Jets or the Manitoba Moose, you can get there by walking around the block or taking the indoor pedway connected to the hotel.
The MTS Centre draws big events to downtown Winnipeg
The centre is popular for ice hockey events. From 2004 to 2011, the MTS Centre hosted the home games of the AHL Manitoba Moose. During that time, NHL hockey returned to Winnipeg under the familiar Jets name, and the Moose franchise moved to St. Johns. Though Winnipeg's Jets franchise maintains the name of the last NHL team to play in the city, the two are not related.
The MTS Centre also hosts other high-profile events like concerts, comedy performances, live children's shows and various sporting events. From sold-out shows by Metallica and Bon Jovi to the annual Aboriginal Peoples Choice Music Awards, the events are as impressive as they are diverse. Other music-related events at the MTS Centre over the years have included the Juno Awards and the Canadian Country Music Awards.
